This 2D side-scrolling tile-based level was built in unity using the tools they provided to us. The tile map was provided, and the task was to place the tiles to create an inviting and interesting gaming experience. Peaks and valleys were important to this project, I introduced various mechanics in a safe way, increasing the challenge as game play continued.
MY WORK
This was one of the first challenges I was given as level designers, it was a solo project. It mimics the often-played designs of Nintendo Mario Brothers. I created a plan and diagram, after feedback we built the level to be played by our peers and evaluated by the instructor.
